HCM DNA Status: Kona's parents and grandparents have been tested for the cMyBPC3 mutation and found negative. Kona is therefore negative.

First Heart Screening: Oregon State University. Dr. David Sisson, DACVIM April 2009
Second Heart Screeing: Veterinary Medical Imaging. David Detweiler, DVM Diplomate ACVR March 2010. Both screenings of Kona's heart found it healthy and free of HCM.

Kona's hip were screened free and clear of HD in March of 2009.
